Malcolm “Macky” Brown Futhey III
Malcolm Brown Futhey III’s practice focuses on business litigation, business organization, personal injury, insurance matters for insureds, environmental law, class actions, complex litigation, property matters, and quiet-title actions. He also handles a wide array of complex matters concerning computer technology, civil rights, bankruptcy, wrongful death, constitutional law, RICO, labor and employment, ERISA and health care law, intellectual property, government law, administrative law, and probate and estate law. Malcolm graduated from Wake Forest School of Law (2023), Reed College (1999), and Evangelical Christian School (1995).
Malcolm has been designated a “Super Lawyer” in the area of business litigation since 2014 and was a “Rising Star” in 2012 and 2013.
Harley M. Chapman
Harley M. Chapman’s practice focuses on business litigation, business transactions, personal injury, insurance law for insureds and small businesses, environmental law, class actions, complex litigation, and real property actions.
She is a Memphis native and graduate of the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. During law school, she served as a member of the Moot Court Board and as a research assistant to Professor Carrie Kerley.
She graduated from Rhodes College with a degree in political science and music.
Robert A. McLean
Robert A. McLean helps local and regional developers, businesses, and individuals solve disputes involving commercial transactions, environmental regulations, and land use ordinances. With more than 45 years of experience, he has a keen ability to apply litigation skills in transactions, helping to spot the issues that can move resolution forward. He has tried cases involving: real estate; eminent domain; securities and commodities fraud; environmental and contribution claims; wrongful death; products liability; medical malpractice; will contests; copyright infringement; and contract disputes. Robert is a FINRA arbitrator and a NAM panel member. He has mediated the following kinds of cases: wrongful death, medical malpractice, eminent domain, contract disputes, and personal injury. He has served as the Hearing Officer for Shelby County Groundwater Quality Control Board on an appeal by the Sierra Club of two TVA well permits. Robert graduated from Rhodes College (B.A.) in 1965, Princeton University (M.A.) in 1968, Princeton University (Ph.D.) in 1974, and the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law (J.D.) in 1978. He is fluent in Russian and speaks French.
